Tony Quinn wins Theresa Belniak Memorial shooting 852 scratch with 201 game!
Waterbury, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Tony Quinn on winning this weekend's BAC Series Stop at Perillos in Waterbury. He shot a super 852 scratch pinfall winning by 38 pins. Tony's games were 165-155-148-201 -183. With 60 handicap pins he finished with a total score of 912.
Second place went to Erik Pellett who finished with an 874 total. Erik had 803 scratch with games of 164-161-177- 151-150. Third place was Brian Ewing who finished with 855 total. Brian had 750 scratch with games of 147-155-134 150-164.
The tournament had a total of 45 entries, with the majority of bowlers coming on Sunday with the storm on Saturday. The BAC would like to thank all of the bowlers that entered the tournament. We would also like to thank Perillo's Bowl-O-Drome and their staff for hosting this very special event once again. And to Mary Ann Belniak as tournament director for this tournament. Brandon Ganoe wins the Tronsky Memorial with 882!
Manchester, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Brandon Ganoe on winning the Nick Tronsky Memorial Tournament, which was completed this weekend. Brandon's scores were 141-134-141-169-159 for a total scratch score of 744. With his handicap pins of 138 he finished with a total of 882.
Finishing second was Brian Ewing who had a scratch score of 733. His scores were 140-178-153-144-118. With his 105 handicap pins, Brian finished with 838.
Third place went to Colin Dunnack with 820 (742 + 78), Fourth was Luke Robustelli with 812 (749 + 63) and Fifth was Kris Semararo with 809 (716 + 93).
The BAC would like to thank Holiday Lanes and their staff for hosting this event and their efforts on rescheduling the completion of the tournament. To Dara and Tom Dominique for directing the tournament. And to all of the bowlers that came out to bowl this event. The complete results are below.
Erik Pellett rolls 881 scratch to win Swede Lavers Tourny!
Stratford, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Erik Pellett on his win this weekend at Barnum Lanes for the Swede Lavers Memorial. Erik shot 881 scratch and with his 71 handicap pins finished with 952. His games were 138-200 -191-217-135...It was an amazing middle three games that added up to 608.
Second place went to Kelly Dansereau who had 886. Third place went to Rick Ganoe who had 864. Rounding out the top 5 were Al Decamillo Jr. (863) and John T Zikis (842)...Results are posted below.
Jason Smith earns the #1 ranking in the country!
Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Jason Smith for becoming the #1 ranked male duckpin bowler in the country. He is the first male to rank #1 from Connecticut since Swede Lavers earned it in 1987-1988. Superb bowling by Jason as we congratulate him on this honor.
Ken Thomas wins Mariellen Vogt Tournament with 889!

Hamden, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Johnson's own Ken Thomas on winning the Mariellen Vogt Tournament that was held this weekend at Johnson's Lanes. Ken finished with a total score of 889 with his handicap pins. He started off strong with two 170+ games, and then put 461 for his last three games on top of that. His games were 170-172-158-153-150 for 803 scratch. With that he earned becoming champion of this year's Mariellen Vogt Tournament and the $350 first place prize. Great bowling by Kenny as we congratulate him on his superb bowling and efforts.
Second place went to Rick Dansereau who had a total of 860 with his handicap pins. Third place went to Erik Loteczka who had a total of 849 with his handicap pins. Erik also had a 204 in his first game on Saturday.
Rounding out the Top 8 spots are 4th-Tony Quinn (837), 5th-Colin Dunnack (829), 6th-Pat Gallo Jr. (825), 7th- Steve Korik Jr. (823), 8th-Duane Krause (822). Note, there were eight paid spots and there was a total of 56 entries for the tournament. The results are posted below...
2011 Mariellen Vogt Tournament Results
The BAC would like to thank Sandi Thomas, Johnson's Lanes and her courteous staff for hosting this event once again. To Mariellen Vogt, which this is her tournament and we want to thank her for her continued support in duckpins and to Johnson's Lanes. To Mary Ann Cochefski for directing the tournament. To Barberino Brothers for once again sponsoring three high single awards, one for each shift that was bowled. And lastly for all of the bowlers that showed their support and entered this tournament.

Brian Ewing takes the lead in BAC Tournament Series
Connecticut- The BAC Tournament Series is now led by Brian Ewing of Manchester who has a total of 201 points. He has so far finished 2nd at Holiday Lanes and twice has finished 3rd including this weekend at Perillo's. The other came at Lucky Strike.
Second Place is Erik Pellett who finished 2nd this weekend at Perillo's. He has a total of 192 points. Third place is Erik Loteczka who has a total of 190 points. Fourth is Colin Dunnack who has 181 points and Fifth is Kevin Martin with 173 points.
The standings after five events are being calculated at this time and will be posted as soon as they are available.
Erik Loteczka wins Ann Schmitter Memorial!
Mansfield, Connecticut- The BAC would like to congratulate Erik Loteczka on winning this weekend's Ann Schmitter Memorial Tournament held at Lucky Strike Lanes. Erik had a total score of 865 to win by one pin over John Devanno, who had 864. His scores were 202-130-153-157-167 for 809 scratch. Great bowling by Erik all around.
John Devanno finished Second with scores of 140-119 -163-127-180 for 729 scratch. With his handicap of 135 pins he finished with 864.
Erik Pellett and Brian Ewing both finished tied for Third Place with 848. Erik had 777 scratch (+71) for 848, while Brian had 743 scratch (+105) for 848.
The BAC would like to thank all of the bowlers that came out and bowled this weekend, to Lucky Strike Lanes and their staff for hosting this event and to Dara Dominique for running the tournament as director. The complete results are posted below. Unofficial money cut was 801 paying 9 spots.

Ken Thomas gets 2nd win in a row at Perillo's with 1033!
Waterbury, Connecticut - Ken Thomas won his second straight tournament of the season with a win at the Thanksgiving Day Dan Perillo Memorial. Ken shot 930 scratch for his six games that included 175-165-171- 154-129-136...With 103 handicap pins, Kenny finished with 1033...Ryan Barrett finished second and Brian Kupisz finished third...The final results are posted below.

Drotar, Pellett and Marsh II highlighted at BAC Banquet
Hamden, Connecticut - The BAC recently recognized three of its bowlers into the Connecticut Duckpin Hall of Fame. Dave Marsh II, Erik Pellett and Mike Drotar were all inducted Saturday at Eli's on Whitney in Hamden. Jason Smith, Jim Kaufman and Todd Turcotte spoke on behalf of the newly HOF members. Photos from the event including a photo of all of the members that attended the event are in our gallery.
The BAC would like to thank all of those who attended the banquet and helped welcome in the newest members of the Connecticut bowling Hall of Fame. Again congratulations to Mike, Erik and Dave on their accomplishments.
